With finals this week, the Bengals have only one test on the court as they welcome the Southern Utah Thunderbirds to town. Idaho State is coming off a 16 point victory over Lewis-Clark State on Friday. The Bengals will wrap up their non-conference schedule in the next two weeks with the home game against Southern Utah this week, and a home game against in-state rival Boise State on December 29th. The Bengals are 3-0 at home this season.

The Idaho State Bengals are currently the best free throw shooting team in the nation at 85.2 percent. They have won two straight games and six of their last seven. They are lead by the reigning Big Sky Co-Player of the Week Natalie Doma who leads the conference in both scoring (23.1 ppg) and rebounding (12.1 rpg). Doma has won the award three times this season, and ten times in her career.

Last Time Out: Lightfoot's Perfection Powers the Bengals Past Lewis-Clark State 74-58 at Reed Gym
Natalie Doma and Andrea Lightfoot continued showing why they are one of the greatest duos in Idaho State history in the Bengals 74-58 victory over Lewis-Clark State College Friday night at Reed Gym. Doma got her ninth double-double in ten games with season high 29 points and 10 rebounds. She shot 12-18 from the field, including two three point baskets. Lightfoot scored 22 points going 4-11 from the field, but did hit three from beyond the arc and went a perfect 11-11 from the free throw line. That set a new ISU record for most free throws made in a single game without a miss. The previous record was 10-10 at the line. Janae Griffin did it against Montana State in 2001, and Natalie Doma did it twice, most recently against Sacramento State last season.

Southern Utah, based in Cedar City, Utah, comes for the Summit League (formerly the Mid-Continent Conference). The Lady Thunderbirds are riding high after a home win over the Portland Pilots 58-54 Monday night. That win snapped a seven game losing streak for Southern Utah. They come to Pocatello with a 2-7 overall record. Hometown girl Anne Westwood leads the team averaging 12.8 points per game and 10.8 rebounds per game. The junior forward is the only player in the Summit League to average a double-double.
